The use of a dress code greatly enhances the unity of the dance class and allows the instructor to work with the students on posture and proper alignment.

Please have your dancer prepared for the first day of class and review our dress codes!  Contact Studio Director, Katie Dixon with any questions.

Toddlers (Music & Movement):

  • Leotard/dance dress or street clothes (easy to move in), pink ballet shoes or socks.

  • please secure hair away from face for safety reasons while dancing

All dancers age 3-18:

  • Female dancers: black leotard and pink tights; ballet skirt optional, no tutus

  • Male dancers: black shorts or pants, white shirt

  • All Hip-Hop Students: Comfortable clothing that they can move freely in.  No jeans or bulky clothing. Hip Hop dance sneakers OR sneakers that are NOT worn outside.                       

     

Footwear:

  • CM/Ballet - pink leather or canvas ballet slippers (white or black for males)

  • Tap - black mary-jane style for combo class, black tap oxfords for Tap (2nd grade-up)

  • Contemporary - Dance Paws, Foot Undeez

  • Hip Hop & Jazz - black jazz shoes

Other:

  • Hair must be in a bun or ponytail; short hair held back securely with headband or barrettes

  • No jewelry

Adult classes: Dancers may wear clothing of choice, with appropriate footwear.
