Jordan Amburn

Jordan Amburn has been singing as long as he has been speaking. Jordan has been seen on the stages of Carteret Community Theater, Rivertowne Players, New Bern Civic Theater, Elysian Players, and more. His many stage credits as a performer feature such highlights as Maximillion Detwiller in The Sound of Music (CCT), Javert in Les Miserables (RTP), Zoser in Aida (NBCT), Beast in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (RTP), and Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (EP). He is also an accomplished director, choreographer, and musical director in Carteret and surrounding counties. A few of his directorial credits include Evita (NBCT), Company (RTP), Hello Dolly (CCT & RTP), Little Women (RTP), Jekyll & Hyde (RTP), Godspell (EP), Little Shop of Horrors (EP), and Disney’s The Little Mermaid (EP). Jordan was trained at the hand of Julliard-educated local legend Laurence Stith through high school. He attended the NC Governor’s School for Vocal Music where he worked with various talents from across the state and nation in workshops and masterclasses. He was also selected for the NC High School Honors Chorus in Winston-Salem. Jordan brought home first-place honors in the IPHC Teen Talent competition several years in a row both at the state & international levels. After graduating, Jordan moved to Greenville, NC where he trained as a classical vocalist at ECU’s Fletcher School of Music. Jordan is the co-founder and president of the local performing arts organization, Elysian Players. He also serves as the music minister & worship leader alongside his loving wife at Harvest Church of God in Newport, NC
