Our private Music Lesson Program runs September-May, with a performing opportunity in the Spring. Lesson day/time slots are typically scheduled with an instructor once you are registered.
Piano | Ages 4 - Adult
We are now accepting pre-k students for piano lessons! Lessons are offered at our Beaufort facility. Private lessons are 30 minutes in length, and structured using a variety of proven methods such as Alfred, Bastien, Thompson & Faber. Each lesson focuses on technique, theory, artistry and creativity within the student's level of ability. A spring recital poses the perfect opportunity to display talent and enhance the performance skills. Beginner through advanced students welcome!
Guitar | Ages 9* - Adult
Guitar lessons are offered at our Beaufort studio and are open to children and adults who have had little or no guitar playing experience, as well as those who are more experienced. The student's goal will be to learn basic guitar techniques including beginning chords, rhythm, basics of reading music, chord structure, and scales. Private lessons consist of weekly 30-minute sessions and students advance at their own pace depending on their skill level. Students must bring an acoustic guitar to class. Lessons will be taught on Wednesdays, but alternative scheduling may be available.
* Children younger than age 9 will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Voice | Ages 5 - Adult
The Private Voice program at Dance Arts Studio consists of a weekly 30-minute private lesson and can be scheduled at either location. Each lesson focuses on proper breathing techniques, pitch matching, ease of vocal strain, and vocal strengthening exercises. Styles taught are classical, musical theatre, pop, rock, and others within each students own ability. All students are encouraged to participate in the spring voice recital.
Acting | Ages 10 - up
Private Acting Lessons are for students that are serious about wanting to improve their acting skills to perform on stage in both musical theatre and plays. These 30- minute private sessions will include exercises in memorization, monologues, scene work, facial expressions and body language for the stage.
