General Policies

  • The studio calendar year runs September - May.

  • Tuition is due on the 1st of the month, for the upcoming month. Payments made after the 10th will be assessed a $15 late fee.

  • No gum, food or drinks will be allowed in the building. Water bottles are acceptable. If your child needs a snack they must eat it outside and dispose of any trash in the outside trash receptacle.

  • Please be on time in dropping off and picking up your child. Students should arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before class and picked up immediately after.

  • Please read any handouts your child brings home - they contain important info.

  • The studio will only be closed for major holidays and school vacations; see our calendar.

  • Weather cancellations - for studio closings call 252-726-1720,  visit our website or Facebook page.

    Refunds and Credits

  • Registration fees are non-refundable.

  • Credit will not be given for missed classes due to illness, inclement weather days or personal commitments. Dance students are welcome to make up any missed classes in another class of appropriate age/level. Music students will be put on a make-up lesson list, if requested.

  • Dance Arts Studio reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient registration; a refund will be given to any affected students

  • In the case of withdrawal from the studio or if student drops a class mid-year, refunds/adjustments will not be made without written notification at least two weeks prior to next billing cycle.

  • If a student sustains a major injury that does not permit them to participate for an extended period of time, a credit or refund may be issued.

  • Paid tuition and fees are non-refundable in the case of withdrawal from the studio; a studio credit may be considered for future use, depending on the circumstance.

 

Attendance/Make-up Lessons

  • Please call if your child must miss a class for any reason, as absences affect the entire class.

  • We encourage make-ups for all group classes, please call to request the appropriate make-up class.

  • Music lesson absences may only be made up upon request, if the absence is called in directly to his/her instructor at least 24-hours in advance; the student will be added to the make-up list for the first available time slot. "No-shows" do not qualify for make-ups; the lesson shall be forfeited.
